Simple steps in storing your coffee at home

Storing your coffee bean or grinds to preserve its freshness will involve simple steps. With so many different sources, we understand that there are many different ways in storing a coffee. We also understand that no one will know how great a coffee taste that you love to drink except you. Let us start when a quality coffee bean is properly roasted, and packaged from the coffee company. You decided then to purchase an already ground coffee bean because it is convenient. Keep in mind that a ground coffee will tend to loose its freshness first than the whole beans when stored in the same amount of time. The science behind the coffee beans and its freshness start from the time it is roasted. So what are the steps in storing coffee? To keep the process simple and easy to follow, will pick the location to be near the coffee brewer at the kitchen. Store an unopened coffee bag in a cool, dark, and dry place. Once the bag is open, place the coffee bean or grinds in an airtight canisters that has a rubber or a silicone seal. Again, store the canister in a cool, dark, and dry place. If coffee canister is made out of clear glass, place them away from direct sunlight. Following these simple steps help keep your coffee beans or grinds retain it’s freshness from weeks to months. At the end of the day, you will be the judge when you take that first sip.

McDonald's Coffee Won

ConsumerReports.org testers choose McDonald's coffee. See the comparison below: McDonald's, $1.35, was decent and moderately strong. Although it lacked the subtle top notes needed to make it rise and shine, it had no flaws. Burger King, $1.40, looked like coffee but tasted more like hot water. It was a little sour, with an unusual hint of chocolate. Dunkin' Donuts, $1.65, was weak, watery, and pricier than Starbucks. It was inoffensive, but it had no oomph. (If you brew with Dunkin’ beans at home, you can make it stronger.) Starbucks, $1.55, was strong, but burnt and bitter enough to make your eyes water instead of open. Our (IslandCoffee4u) take: Try McDonald’s, which was cheapest and best, or make your own Kona coffee--just call it something special. And make your choice.

The best Coffee from Island of Hawaii

Hawaii has one of the finest coffee. My favorites are Royal Kona toasted and Kona Mocha Macnut. These are the best coffee because it has an original flavor to it that you can't find anywhere. Anything made in Hawaii is ONOLICIOUS.......

A Kona Coffee Story

Kona Coffee has been grown on the dark volcanic lava rock slopes of Kona, on the west coast of the Big Island of Hawaii since in the early 1800s. Under federal and state regulations as well as federal trademark, only coffee grown here may be called Kona. In Hawaii, coffee labeled "Kona Blend" may by law contain as little as 10% real Kona coffee. When you drink a cup of Kona Coffee, you are drinking a coffee that comprises only 1% of all the coffee grown in the world. Kona coffee was first planted in 1829 and has continued to thrive. Many of the trees are over 100 years old. Most of the 680 or so farms are less than four acres, although there are also a few huge estates. Due to the island's isolation and the state's strict import restrictions on agricultural products, minimal pest control is required. As a result no pesticides are used, nor may they legally be used. With a rainy growing season and a cool dry harvesting season, the region is particularly well suited to coffee production.
